Bradford Building Corp has become Central Florida’s leading custom homebuilder by using the finest quality designs and materials in their homes and by giving personalized service to their clients. Wade Bradford’s “old school” vision for his company has been to build beautiful homes and to make sure his clients are taken care of. He feels that Customer service is the most important quality a builder can have. Wade has passed on his vision to his son, Cameron Bradford, who has integrated into the company several leading edge technology management systems to help maintain and improve these principles.
Bradford Building Corp. uses Microsoft Project to help construct time line schedules for the projects; Timberline for estimating, purchasing and accounting; and Buildlinks, for customer service & communication. Communication with clients and project information is aided by use of Dell laptop computers equipped with Verizon wireless PC cards, which are used by all Project Managers and Superintendents. With use of several Microsoft Office products as well as Adobe v7 drawings and specifications are sent via email to all contractors for bidding purposes, all vendors for product quotes, and clients for change order approval.
Buildlinks allows Bradford’s employees, clients, contractors and vendors to view project information, like drawings, contracts, schedules, specifications, from wherever they might be able to get internet service. For instance, photographs are periodically posted for clients to view a project’s progress and pictures of cabinets, flooring, countertops, light fixtures, etc. are also available to view.
Information technology is playing a vital part in Wade and Cameron Bradford’s continuing efforts to become the best homebuilder in Central Florida. Several accolades awarded the company recently such as a Mame award as National Custom Homebuilder of the Year, Custom Homebuilder of the Year, by Orlando Magazine, and numerous awards by the Central Florida Homebuilders Association, and a Bronze Construct Tech Vision Award, are an indication that they are on the right track.
